Portrayed with equal parts sleaze, arch, and acumen by the brilliant Mark Sheppard, public-defender-turned-Baltar-attorney Romo Lampkin oozed into the tableau of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica in the episode The Son Also Rises. A cat-toting kleptomaniac with a pair of shades glued to his nose and an uncanny knack for navigating the legal system, Romo guided former President Baltar and Lee Adama through the season three finale Crossroads I & II, convinced Lee to take hold of the presidency in Roslin's absence, and defended Admiral Adama during Zarek's mock court.
